The long-awaited game from Treyarch and Raven Software will have a release date of 13^th of November. It will come out for PC, Xbox 1, PlayStation 4 at the same time so we can expect to play it together all at once. We still do not have any information when it will be released for PS5 And Xbox Series X but there have been some speculations that it will come out for PS5 first and later for the Xbox. The first trailer of the game was released in quite the interesting way. In order to be able to watch it, players had to complete a special Contract in Warzone. The trailer was of course release on Youtube as well shortly after this event but still it was a nice touch from Treyarch.

The campaign is something that a lot of players are interested in as the previous Black Ops did not have such a mode. A lot of fans were disappointed with the lack of a single player experience and it seems that the developers have taken note of this. They have thankfully decided to introduce once again a story to the Black Ops series and it is a very interesting one at that. It will be a direct sequel of the first game in the series which most fans might be familiar with, Call of Duty Black Ops. That was quite the interesting game which had a lot of fans from all around the world. The numbers Mason is something that almost every FPS player has heard at one point. The story was amazing and very well thought of. That is why we are very happy that they will proceed from it in this new game in 2020. We will see familiar faces which include Mason, Woods and Hudson from the original. The story will be something we will be expecting quite a bit. There will be even a surprise appearance of a real-world figure, which is namely Ronald Reagan. This action will once again bring us real world references that will make the story much more enjoyable and immersive.

All three characters which we previously mentioned will evolve quite a bit as the time will jump from the 60s to the 80s which is a 20-year difference for these people. We will be able to see how they have evolved and experience the turbulent times of the Cold War. Reagan will play quite an important role as you might expect in the conflict between the USA and the Soviet Union. As with almost every Call of Duty game, the developers have taken quite a bit of inspiration from real world events that have tremendous importance in our real-world history. We will even get to meet “Perseus” who was a real-life KGB agent that supposedly influenced the USA during this period. Although we do not know his identity most likely in the game, we will see someone who the developers have chosen to take this iconic role.

The developers at Activision have described the game as being set in 1981 with the global threat of nuclear war looming at the height of the Cold War. We will be a part of a newly formed team in the CIA which will have to engage in a series of deniable operations and covert missions in order to prevent this unimaginable disaster. With the single player we can expect a lot of action-packed adventures filled to the brim with interesting twists and surprises. The reason for this is that Raven Software will be handling all of the single player while Infinity ward will be creating the multiplayer aspect of the game.

Something else that the fans of the series might want to know about is the Zombies mode. It will thankfully be making a return as the developers have confirmed. This mode has been a fan favorite ever since the first game in the series and has evolved quite a bit. It will be interesting to see it go back to its roots and have Cold War era weapons we can play with. Also, interestingly the developers mentioned that it will be connected to the main campaign of the game which we cannot wait to see. It will definitely be something interesting and worth taking a look at.

Now let us take a look at the Multiplayer and what to expect from it with the new Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War. There are three major changes which we will see implemented in the game. Right now they have only been confirmed by the developers and we have not had a chance to experience them but that will all change on September 9^th as an online reveal will be expected at that time. What we will see introduced to the game is total cross play support. This means that everyone including PC, Xbox 1, PS4, Xbox 1 S, Xbox Series X and PS5 will play together which means that there will always be a game you can join. Map packs and character bundles will be no more as the game will introduce lots of post release free content which the players can enjoy. Everything should be able to be purchased with in-game currency only and we can expect quite a lot of time to be dedicated so that the game will always have something new and fresh for us to enjoy while playing. Now an interesting thing is that the game will be connected through a battle pass system to Warzone as well. It seems that Warzone will continue being developed and implemented in every Call of Duty release from now on. We will be able to use weapons and customizations from both games which will definitely bring new life to the amazingly fun Battle Royale Mode introduced in Modern Warfare 2020.

Overall, this game is shaping up to be quite the interesting spectacle that will bring us back loved characters from the franchise in a new and interesting way. While with the multiplayer most likely we can expect what we have seen tons of times already but with a new twist in order to keep it fresh.
