Festival of the lost overview and complete event guide. All you need to know about it.

D2 is currently celebrating its first Halloween event, the Festival of the Lost. The event brings a bunch of scary themed items, a new game mode, gives Holliday something to do, and a new exotic catalyst. This event ends on November 6th, 2018. So, if you haven’t done anything in the event, you still have plenty of time to enjoy it.

So, what is the Festival of the Lost? This event got it start back in D1. It is similar to the dawning and crimson day events, such that they are based off of real-world holidays but set in the lore of D2. This event was skipped in the first year of the game because of how close the launch of the game was to Halloween. This event brings new items to the game, some are gained by completing challenges and triumphs, and some are gained through Eververse. Listed below are all the event items added to the game:

This event brings a new game mode called the haunted forest. This game mode is similar to how a dungeon works. You clear enemies and then fight a boss. But here is the kicker, they are multiple stages with harder and harder enemies. Each stage also adds a debuf.

This game mode will net you soul fragments that will allow to buy masks and other event items from Holliday. Speaking of masks, they play a special role in the haunted forest game mode. The mask can be equipped with mods that only used in the haunted forest. Below is a breakdown of each mod:

To get the perk upgrades, you must wear the mask it is added to and defeat the bosses (called nightmares) at the end of the stage. Kill 10 bosses and the perk upgrade will be yours. To max it out, you need 40 boss kills. If you don’t have the time or need it done quickly, please visit our D2 boosting tab for our booting options.

Now, there is word going around that on the 30th of October there is going to secret quest. Not a 2-minute adventure like in the beginning of the event, but a full-blown quest line. There are speculation that it is going to have player go on a murder mystery quest to find who killed Master Ives. The reward from the quest is still unknown but its going to big and its going to be powerful. Again, if you are having trouble with this mission or want to make sure you get the reward, please visit our D2 boosting tab for our boosting packages.

Hopefully this overview of the Festival of the Lost helps you. It is shaping to be a fun event and has a lot to offer. Please visit our D2 Boosting tab for our boosting services.
