What are D2 Glory ranks?

How to obtain glory points?

Today we have a really interesting question that we will try to answer for you. What are D2 Glory ranks and how to obtain glory points? Hopefully what we will share with you is something that could be useful in the climb.

Glory ranks in the game are only applicable in the competitive part of the Crucible, meaning that if you are interested in getting all the high-tiered Pinnacle weapons, there will be a lot of games played in the competitive mode.

The competitive mode of the Crucible offers players not only rewards but a lot more satisfying gameplay. The reason behind that are the seriousness that players have when playing and the more focused attitude for winning. As in all competitive modes in games be prepared to give your best before playing. Also for those of you that don’t know, the Crucible is the game’s player versus player fights happen.

There is quite a variety of modes that you can play to prove that you are the best of the best. Be prepared to play more traditional modes where kills are the number one important thing as well as more unconventional modes where you will have to have a high level of coordination with your team to win the match.

And on we go with the other important thing about glory ranks and that is the glory points. Players often experience difficulty finding out how much they need to advance a rank, that is why we will share with you some information in that regard. Just remember to play competitive otherwise you won’t get any glory points, the only thing you will get from quick play is valor points and rank.

Recently every glory rank was divided into three levels that have to be achieved in order to progress. At every bracket you reach keep in mind that there will be a reward. The rankings are the following:

  • Guardian I – The points required to be in this ranking are 0-49.

  • Guardian II – The points required to be in this ranking are 50-99

  • Guardian III – The points required to be in this ranking are 100-199

  • Brave I – The points required to be in this ranking are 200-369

  • Brave II – The points required to be in this ranking are 370-664

  • Brave III – The points required to be in this ranking are 665-1049

  • Heroic I – The points required to be in this ranking are 1050-1259

  • Heroic II – The points required to be in this ranking are 1260-1624

  • Heroic III – The points required to be in this ranking are 1625-2099

  • Fabled I – The points required to be in this ranking are 2100-2379

  • Fabled II – The points required to be in this ranking are 2380-2879

  • Fabled III – The points required to be in this ranking are 2880-3499

  • Mythic I – The points required to be in this ranking are 3500-3879

  • Mythic II – The points required to be in this ranking are 3880-4549

  • Mythic III – The points required to be in this ranking are 4550-5449

  • Legend – The points required to be in this ranking are 5450-5500

Currently legend it the max you can reach, although it may change in the future as well as the requirements as Bungie often like to implement changes to the system. To make the system a bit harder to climb each ranks receive less points per win and you lose more points respectively for every loss. Although there is a catch as win streaks award more points per win. The maximum win streak you can maintain is 5 wins, when you reach that each win will give the same points.

The rewards are the following

  1. Guardian I – Per loss -60, per 1 win +80, per 2 wins +100, per 3 wins +120, per 4 wins +140, per 5 wins +160

  2. Guardian II – Per loss -60, per 1 win +80, per 2 wins +100, per 3 wins +120, per 4 wins +140, per 5 wins +160

  3. Guardian III – Per loss -60, per 1 win +80, per 2 wins +100, per 3 wins +120, per 4 wins +140, per 5 wins +160

  4. Brave I – Per loss -60, per 1 win +68, per 2 wins +88, per 3 wins +108, per 4 wins +136, per 5 wins +148

  5. Brave II – Per loss -60, per 1 win +68, per 2 wins +88, per 3 wins +108, per 4 wins +136, per 5 wins +148

  6. Brave III – Per loss -60, per 1 win +68, per 2 wins +88, per 3 wins +108, per 4 wins +136, per 5 wins +148

  10. Fabled I – Per loss -60, per 1 win +40, per 2 wins +60, per 3 wins +80, per 4 wins +108, per 5 wins +120

  11. Fabled II – Per loss -60, per 1 win +40, per 2 wins +60, per 3 wins +80, per 4 wins +108, per 5 wins +120

  12. Fabled III – Per loss -60, per 1 win +40, per 2 wins +60, per 3 wins +80, per 4 wins +108, per 5 wins +120

  13. Mythic I – Per loss -68, per 1 win +40, per 2 wins +60, per 3 wins +80, per 4 wins +108, per 5 wins +120

  14. Mythic II – Per loss -68, per 1 win +40, per 2 wins +60, per 3 wins +80, per 4 wins +108, per 5 wins +120

  15. Mythic III – Per loss -68, per 1 win +40, per 2 wins +60, per 3 wins +80, per 4 wins +108, per 5 wins +120

  16. Legend – Per loss -68, per 1 win +40, per 2 wins +60, per 3 wins +80, per 4 wins +108, per 5 wins +120

Another way you get glory points is at the weekly reset where you receive a set amount of points depending on what rank you were the previous week as well as if you have played at least three games the previous week. The points you receive are the following:

  1. Guardian – 160

  2. Brave – 160

  3. Heroic – 120

  4. Fabled – 80

  5. Mythic – 0

  6. Legend – -80

The quickest way to reach Fabled is if you do 16 consecutive wins but that is quite hard to achieve so at least try to win more than 50% of your matches to get there as quick as possible and if you can play with a premade team as that will raise your chance of success.

What is the crucible in D2?

Crucible is the PvP oriented location once you open the in game map. There you can find all the PvP activities and different map playlists. Crucible game modes are two types - casual and competitive. For completing matches in Casual game mode, you get Valor points and Valor ranks. For completing matches in Competitive playlists, you get Glory points and Glory rank.

While playing competitive crucible matches win streaks matter a lot. The better win streak you achieve, the more glory points you earn for a victory. The maximum win streak is 5 wins in a row. You can find our D2 Glory rank boost services in our D2 PvP boosting section.
