Finding the Mercury Lost Sector
Mercury is one of the smaller patrol destinations in Destiny 2, introduced with the Curse of Osiris expansion. Despite its compact size, it contains one Lost Sector called Pariah's Refuge. Many players struggle to find this Lost Sector because Mercury's layout is different from other destinations, and the entrance is not immediately obvious.
Pariah's Refuge Location
Pariah's Refuge is located in the Fields of Glass area on Mercury. To find it, follow these steps:
- Load into Mercury and spawn at the landing zone in the Lighthouse area
- Head forward past Brother Vance and down the steps toward the open Vex landscape
- Once you reach the Fields of Glass, look to your right side
- You will see a cave entrance built into the rocky terrain with the Lost Sector symbol above it
- Enter the cave and follow the path down to reach the Lost Sector
What to Expect Inside
Pariah's Refuge is a relatively short Lost Sector populated by Vex enemies. The layout consists of a winding cave path that opens into a larger chamber where the Lost Sector boss awaits. The boss is a Vex Minotaur that spawns with additional Vex reinforcements. Once defeated, a loot chest appears with destination-specific gear and rewards.
Tips for Completion
The Lost Sector is straightforward and can be completed quickly by players of any power level. For Master or Legend difficulty versions (when Mercury Lost Sectors appear in the rotation), you will want to match the burn element and bring champion mods appropriate for the modifiers listed in the daily rotation.
Note on Content Vaulting
Mercury was vaulted as part of the Destiny Content Vault with the Beyond Light expansion. This means Pariah's Refuge and the Mercury destination are no longer accessible in the current version of Destiny 2. However, Bungie has indicated that vaulted content may return in future updates. This guide is preserved for reference and for when the content potentially returns.
