Teamfight Tactics B.F Sword – base item

Today we will be taking a look at the next item in our Teamfight Tactics base items list and that is the B.F. Sword. This is quite an iconic weapon in League of Legends as it has been in the game for quite a long time. A lot of us are familiar with it and will definitely be happy to see it into Teamfight Tactics. As always we will begin with a little comparison between the item in both games. B.F. Sword has been useful to quite a lot of Champions during the years, especially if you have played quite a lot of ADC roles. 

The large boost to your attack damage stat is amazing in early game, when you want to improve your farming, harassing and lane advantage. Especially if everything is going well in the early game, try to purchase this item, so that you can snowball your lane and hopefully achieve a victory in the end. The item itself provides us with a Plus 40 Attack Damage and can be built into the whopping 8 different items. They are Blodthirster, Essence Reaver, Guardian Angel, Infinity Edge, Zephyr, Stormrazor, Stat-Stick of Stoicism and lastly Spear of Shojin. All of these items are quite good and will always be a big plus to your AD build. 

Now it is time to take a look at how the B.F. Sword Handles in Teamfight Tactics. It is always a welcome sight when this item drops as all Champions auto-attack in order to gain mana. Because of that reason the bonus to your attack damage is always welcome, even if you are playing with some sorcerers. Let us dive even deeper and take a look at all the possible combinations, which are:

1. B.F. Sword + Recurve Bow = Sword of the Divine: Your champion will get +20% attack speed and +20 Attack Damage and each second that has passed the wearer gets a stacking 7% chance to gain 100% critical strike. With this item the best gains can be made by equipping it on Varus, Ashe, Vayne and especially Kindred as because of her ult she gains much more time to stack the effect and dominate the enemies.

2. B.F. Sword + Giant’s Belt = Zeke’s Herald: At the start of combat your champion and all allies within two hexes of them in the same row, receive a bonus of +15% Attack Speed for the rest of combat. This is actually quite a handy item, because the bonus to HP, Attack Damage and Attack Speed makes it quite the universal thing. With this item we combine three distinct bonuses for the wearer.  Champions that gain a lot from this item are Morgana, Leona and Lulu. The bonus to attack speed and also the bigger health pool is incredibly useful for them, so that they can stay longer in the fight and spam out a lot of spells in the mean time!

3. B.F. Sword + Tear of the Goddess = Spear of Shojin: Your champion’s basic attacks will restore 15% of their max Mana, as well as receiving the bonuses from the base items which are +20 starting mana and +15 Attack Damage. The champions that get the most benefit from this one are Lulu, Ahri and Akali. With their basic attacks, the charge rate of their mana becomes amazing.

4. B.F. Sword + Needlessly Large Rod = Hextech Gunblade: Your champion will heal for 25% of the damage dealt by spells and basic attacks as well as +20 AP and +15 AD. This item is most often used by Garen, Katarina and Evelynn. The more surprising one of the three is Garen, overall he gets quite good bonuses from it because of his AoE Spin which will help him last longer in the fight. 

5. B.F. Sword + B.F. Sword = Deathblade: Your champion gets a bonus of +15 attack damage for each time they kill or participate in the killing of an enemy and it stack endlessly, until the end of the round. The bonus 30 damage you get from making this item and also the additional from killing an enemy makes you quite a powerhouse on the field. Some of the Champions that work the best with this item are Jinx, Rengar and Kai’Sa.

6. B.F. Sword + Negatron Cloak = Bloodthirster: Your Champion’s basic attacks will heal them for 40% of the damage dealt. Now this one is quite the beauty, because you will be able to keep your damage dealers in the fight for some time. Draven for example works amazingly with this item and if you even give him more attack speed, he becomes nigh unkillable. Some others that vibe with this item are Shen and Lucian.

7. B.F Sword + Chain Vest = Guardian Angel: Your champion will revive with up to 500 health after a two second delay, but it can be triggered only once per round. Overall this can be used on any number of champions and it all depends on who you prefer to equip it. Most of the time players tend to give it to their most powerful one in order to do as much damage as possible.

8. B.F Sword + Sparring Gloves = Infinity Edge: Your champion will get +150% Critical Strike Damage. This is very good, especially if you have more of an assassin based build and need to deal tons of damage as quick as possible. Because of that reason, the two champions that are the best suited for this are Zed and Rengar.

9. B.F. Sword + Spatula = Youmuu’s Ghostblade: Your champion also becomes an assassin. This one varies quite a lot depending if you can use it. For example if you have a couple of assassins, in order to get the buff, Draven is amazing with this item. Also a couple of others that can find usefulness are Kassadin and Kennen.
